PCT Law Group Bolsters IP Practice With Addition of Two New Attorneys
04-Jun-2009Washington, DC – June 4, 2009 – PCT Law Group, PLLC today announced that intellectual property attorneys Thomas H. Jackson and Michael C. Rau have joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
Mr. Jackson, who joins as a Partner and will lead the Firm’s patent prosecution practice, brings a wealth of intellectual property experience to PCT. He has written and prosecuted hundreds of patents to issue in the electrical, electronic, and computer arts including specialties in medical device, optical device, telecommunications and converging television technologies. Prior to joining PCT, Mr. Jackson was a partner at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP. His previous experience also includes being a partner at Banner & Witcoff, Ltd., as well as serving as in-house patent counsel at Siemens AG and AT&T Bell Laboratories.
Mr. Rau, who joins as an Associate, focuses his practice on counseling and engaging in patent application drafting and patent prosecution in the electrical, computer, telecommunications and networking arts. Additionally, Mr. Rau performs intellectual property portfolio evaluations and is well regarded for his expertise in performing intellectual property due diligence for corporate transactions. Prior to joining PCT, Mr. Rau was a successful business entrepreneur and senior association executive at the National Association of Broadcasters.

Mr. Jackson is a graduate of Seton Hall University Law School. He has a Masters in Engineering Administration from The George Washington University, and a B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Rau received his law degree from Catholic University, a B.S. from Clarkson University.
